PLEASE HELP! what is this rf signal detector circuit called ?

Hi,

stumbled across this really simple circuit the other week and can't remember what it was call to look it up again.  :'(

it was a loop of wire with a diode at each end (facing in opposite directions) and these were connected to a LED.

when the loop was put near a radio transmitter the LED lights up to indicated a signal.

i really wish to look into it further so does anyone know what this circuit is called ??? ???
