Looking for examples of anything powered by a spool of string

I know about mouse trap cars but that is not exactly what I'm looking for. I posted my idea a few months ago on these forums here:

And has anyone seen anything similar online? I haven't found anyone experimenting with spools of "string" and magnets to generate power anywhere.

People have told me that it could never be used to power much but I was wondering if it could used to power anything at all. Maybe like a fan?  String can be put in a very compact space. As an example, here is a spool of string twelve miles long:

I'm painstakingly constructing my own string to test this. But it is slow going because I have to do it by hand. If anyone knows of any custom string manufacturers, please let me know. It would speed things up immensely.

My first goal for this is for it to at least power a fan, even if it's a slow moving one.

Thanks.

p.s. It would obviously not be real string used but something with the similar weight and thinness but stronger. I use fishing line in my own prototype construction.
