Hello all, first post!

To be honest I'm a hobby enthusiast with little familiarity of terms. Thankfully there is a motor shop the next town over that I'm hoping I can say 'looking for' to.  I probably won't understand most of the terms but the guy at the shop should.

So I want to tinker with a gravity battery. I need advice on picking out a motor. I'ld prefer something in the $10-20 that I could run on a bike parts setup akin to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8a155zlEfws that could at least run a small led cluster and potentially (slowly I know) charge small batteries or a usb charge stick.

Toying with the idea of a brush motor that is easy to disassemble and maintain and practice replacing brushes and such.

PS Gosh the post verification is aggravating!!!! Please tell me it goes away once vetted or how to turn it off.
