Hello there I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to run a guitar pedal off a joule thief? I have built fuzz pedals before and was wondering about the effects a joule thief could have on one.

It could be made to work I suppose, but you might have an issue with noise from the JT getting into your pedal, especially if it is a high gain pedal such as your fuzz etc.
question everything, double check the facts, THEN decide your path...

I guess all I can do is try. I normally use 9v battery to power the circuit. Perhaps I will try using the joule thief as the power source with a 1.5 volt aa.
