This is my version of a inertia wheel power generator.

Hi Tommy,

I wonder if you could try the following 900Watt 24VDC motor in the above set-up. *In addition to what you have in mind.*
I will assume generator is a 120VAC unit. The motor would require DC supply built with an efficient 1.5KVar transformer
120Vac:24Vac, rectifier bridge and filter caps.

This motor is intentionally supposedly too small to directly drive the generator. The transmission ratio may need changing somewhat
to make this work. The key on this is to have the motor lug.  Lug = Motor begis to stall then its running impedance decreases,
it starts to draw more current, then it speeds up and its impedance rises again, its RPM drops towards a stall again, repeats.

Tommy, Please inform us if this works or not.  Don't assume we already know it does just because it is specific information.

Um... you show the main flywheel rotating at 6000 RPM. It appears that the gearing is doubled after that. Shouldn't the output generator be turning at 12000 RPM?

Did I miss something?

Hi Noonespecial,

I did make a mistake on the pulley, this is the correction.
