I can't believe this one. It is a container with a output. You put in aluminum and koh with water and you get out Hydrogen. NO electricity needed. LOL how do you turn it off? I was under the impression that aluminum hho is poisonous.

not at all..  aluminum has a stronger bond with oxygen than hydrogen and oxygen.  Natively the problem with this is that the aluminum forms a skin of aluminum oxide and stops the process.  But a EE from Perdue figured out a way to prevent this.  I assume by accident he dropped a piece Aluminum Gallium Arsenic (the stuff they make LEDs out of) into water and it created hydrogen.  Turns out the Gallium prevents the skinning to form.  http://www.physorg.com/news98556080.html

So how do you turn it off. Do you have a manual screen you lift the metal out?

stop the flow of alluminum gallium into the water.. gallium disolves the aluminum.. it's a liquid from what it says
