CUSTOM CNC MILLING COMING SOON

After all these years of cutting out bent bits of plastic and receiving hundreds of emails from people asking if I can cut out some custom parts for them, I have always declined because of lack of time and other commitments.

In the next couple of months I am hoping this will change and I should start to be able to offer this service at a reasonable price.

As any of you, that have tried to source a company with CNC maching capabilities to cut out custom parts, they want to charge a arm and a leg.
You cannot blame them, as they have invested a huge amount of money in their equipment and need a return.

But for the guys like yourself that visit sites like mine, this is just way too much for something that is a hobby.

Not everyone can run off and make their own CNC machine, let alone afford/justify it for a couple of replications.

So I hope to offer a low cost solution for all you guys that are in this position, with great ideas, yet limited resources.

I hope also to offer low friction miniature bearings, custom axles, rotors and frames, as well as custom wound coils with various cores.

And on top of this I should be able to offer custom electronic circuits to control whatever you need, to run your rig/coils.

Been meaning to do this for years, but as working away from home 5 days a week, I have never really been able to commit and help others out.

Hopefully that will change in the new year with some other interesting projects, but will leave me spare time where I can put this machinery I have built up over the years to some use.

I am confident people know me after all this time and place a certain amount of trust, that they will be ripped off.

I am not offering tolerences of 0.0000000000000001 mm precision, but hope I can deliver peoples basic designs they have in their minds to reality.

YES. We need more people offering this. This is would make a huge difference. Would be so wonderful if we could create our own fablabs for FE OU or any other crazy ideas without the ridicule or dogmatic behavior.

So big thumbs up for this initiative Sean, I hope more will pop up to offload the work and spread the buzz.
