I just found the answer to my question from the seller of the function generator.  He said it was missing the test leads.  The test leads for BK Precision function generators cost more than this guy was selling his generator for, so I guess I'll probably have to buy new.  I don't want any surprises.  Thanks.

How many leads are supposed to come with these function generators and what's the best way to check one to make sure it works properly?  I have my eyes on one and I want to get everything lined up properly before I buy it.  Thanks in advance!!

Slovenia,  Most function generators just use a BNC connector and small coax with the shield side hooked to a ground alligator clip and the center hooked to another alligator clip.  It would be fairly easy to make yourself or you might find something similar like this 60 Mhz scope probe with BNC on one end and alligator clip plus usual probe end for less than $6 shipped (but it can take a month to get).  http://www.dealextreme.com/p/60mhz-oscilloscope-probe-with-x1-x10-switch-max-600v-34220
Some on fleaBay for a bit more.

Hi Slovenia,

I'm not sure what range your looking for but I've dealt with this company, RSR Electronics, before. They have some pretty good deals every now and then. They are based out of NJ.
