Okay. The concern that brought this on is actually predicted fulfillment of a Hopi prophecy, about vortical magnetic fields and how they halt or disrupt electrical current. I'm looking for a way to, essentially, keep that field out of a given area. What would be best is a type of metal that, for example, I could hold a magnet on one side of a leaf of, and a paperclip on the other, and not have them stick.

There's another thread that discussed this and the answer was whatever material sandwiches the magnets in a hard drive. http://www.overunity.com/index.php/topic,1010.msg7761.html#msg7761

Alright, thank you. I'll have to get hold of a trash drivve to figure that out.

Try searching magnetoresistive materials.
