No one will stomp on you if you have something that works.  If all you have is untested or untried theory, that would be different.  But if I read your words correctly, you have something that works, and the majority will listen.  There are always trolls around, you simply ignore them and they will get bored and go find another sandbox to play in.

Open source a working gravity wheel with no legal proof you invented it?

If you build it and it is running and you post it. every nut job in the world will
be claiming it is their idea. With out some form of legal proof you will have a
fight. Forums are week evidence. Build it and show it for a major newspaper
would be much stronger evidence. Patent pending and then show it before
they can put on the restraints and you cut off the restraints.

In blunt terms, there are way to many credit thieves to take a chance
on your credit being stolen.
Not to mention without protection a simple change and
someone else will patent it.

Using a  GNU General Public License to copyleft an open source tech would be more than enough to prevent thieves from patenting the invention.

This would be the best way, in my opinion, for the inventor and the public to benefit from a working free energy technology without fear of reprisal.

The best way to make money in this kind of field is IMHO:

1 - Make at least 5  working examples.

2 - If you have enough money to step 3, this otherwise go to 5:

3 - divide your invention in two separate (use- and clue-less) parts

4 - Order at different companies the two parts a 100 pieces each

5 - Give one or two of the devices away to a charity  in your local community at a place were a lot of people will atend

6 - In the meantime assemble your product

7 - Open the ringing doorbell

8 - Sell your product locally

9 - Use the generated money to order more

10 - By the time competition catches up, you should already have a ship coming from china with two containers of both half's



So without patenting, you can take a fair part, be the inventor and still open source it, just use your head start.
If you have a working device, not selling above a 1000 bucks, i think the neighborhood would be the best place to start. If it really works.. you should not worry about the rest...  (except  for the MIB )

If you chose to patent ,or for that matter 'Any other nut job on the internet" chooses to patent it,

      "National security risk" End of story.....................

It will join all the thousands of other Patented overunity devices that we can Buy everyday at Walmart

OH .....If you know some poor Lawyer that really needs the money ,at least someone will benefit
