Joule Thief powered by the plasma from a plasma ball.

Thanks for pointing to your earlier findings.  So either a ground or a electrostatic coupling (your alu foil) is already enough for picking up energy from the plasma globe.
Can you recall how much the plasma ball energy draw from its source changed (if any) when you used the LED lamps or perhaps you did not check that at the time.

I didn't make power measurements.
some plasma ball circuit has no transformer providing a galvanic separation from power supply.

Here is a video I made of my joule thiefs led light being powered by my plasma ball. The video is not the be3st,,and I should make another but here it is anyway. Oh how it works,,I used one of my other creations to extract the energy from the plasma ball, look up on my videos how to charge a capacitor with a plasma ball,,that explains it,,its just two reversed diodes connected at one end. Connect a wire to where the diodes connect,,run that ro something setting on the plasma ball and it converts it to electricity,,which can charge a capacitor very fast,,and power a joule thief..Ok enough said here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uA36b_nzgDs I actually use two capacitors to hold the power,,one where the battery would have went, since I use no battery here,and the other on one side of the transistor for the joule thief,,it uses a diode across it to allow buildup,,once that builds up enough it powers the joule thief. So as long as the plasma ball is on the joule thief lights the led. The plasma ball is powered by 4 aaa batteries.

Great work with the plasma globe.

One little word of advice though.
Using words like self running or Over Unity here brings you alot  of attention really fast........attention  you really don't want.

If certain people in this forum hear claims of Over Unity they will flood the thread with lots of questions about how you explain what is going on by CONVENTIONAL rules........ Of course we all know that if it does not follow conventional rules  it can not work ........after all the people that made those rules are in charge .....



I do think you may be on to something.
I think that the rules taught in our schools have been tweaked.
I believe that one detail  that has been tweaked is how a signal can be induced in other conductors.
I believe that if you cause an alternating current in a wire that current causes a vibration in  EVERYTHING around it.....
We have been taught that we must induce any power we want to extract from very close to the source.......this of course is "felt " by the source.....this is greedy mans power.
This power can be metered........it can be sold.
The way the universe works is a bit different.
Power is taken off a little at a time at a distance.
If  you step outside and connect a solar cell to an electronic device do you drain the suns energy supply?
What about the solar energy heating all the earth?
Does that energy drain the sun?
Does the power demand on a radio station go up if you switch on a radio?



All the wireless experments I have seen show me that if you pulse a conductive mass with a high enough voltage....... you can do things similar to what you are doing with your globe.

If I was you I would  try more collectors.......and bigger collectors.......and I would see how far away from the globe I could collect power.......if I am right about any of this......there will be a distance from the globe where you can capture energy but not affect the source at all......if you can find this distance they you can place as many collectors as you can fit around the globe....None of them will cause the globe to draw more power.........all of them will produce some power.....

Thanks,,there is always something to discover,,thats for sure. Had another idea,,about using my easier way to power a led here,,made a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znSXB7T1mcY  Anyway the concept goes like this,,using many of these,,as shown in the video,,I power many leds,,shine on solar panel or panels,,produce power,,use that power from the solar panels to recharge the plasma balls batteries while it runs,,or at the least recharge four separate aaa batteries beside it,,then those can be used back in the plasma ball when its batteries drain to much,,or something along this idea,,its just a concept...Thanks again..
