Mildly interesting yes....OU useful?  NO.  It illustrates the value of resonance and thats about it.  The old story of the soldiers marching across the bridge and the instep beat rattles the structure to destruction (supposedly).

Each of those metronomes have their own 'power' source (the spring) and if they didnt and you attempted to start something swaying on that platform at the 'cost' of the first metronome doing the work, it WILL tax it.  It is efficient YES...but it is not free.  You merely harness the gravity swing of the platform (plank on cans) and borrow wasted energy there.

Yeh the TPU, thats a dead horse but the poor bastards just dont know it yet.

The question should be: do they synchronize wit each other or is the synchronization is governed by an external source?
