Needing to find sources for say sheet or plate, rod tube, just about any sort of shielding materials made out of super high permeability materials like the title suggests, such as MuMetal or permalloy.

so far the best I have been able to find are sheets only .005 thick which is about the thickness of paper. so we need a source for say 22 to 16 gauge sheet, no need for it having self adhering stuff as that can be sourced separately and applied by the user if so desired.

so far no other forms for either have shown up at all, other than the metals found in shielding of the armature magnets in hard drives, and some transformer cores, so anything we can find would be good.

If you do have a source replying here is fine but would be prudent to add it to the other thread here too for the list of suppliers (definitive list of suppliers I believe it is titled.)

I am going to look into seeing if the over 2 square meter Fresnel lens I have can melt the permalloy I have saved up from hard drives, and put it into molds molten. If I can I will put a HowTo with all the details on where I found my stuff at, so hopefully people will be able to cheaply make custom components in their back yard (*or on their un roofed balcony like I am doing XD )
