Great to see you here.  I remember all of those lights you made...very bright and efficient too.  Possibly, some of that might be in the JT diagrams topic area....I forget how many pages I tried to update but it may just be 300 or so...but...your circuit might be in there.

I hope all is well over there.  I am just now trying to get back into some experimenting here.  I just ordered a 400 watt Peltier device last night...that should be fun to play with...I hope.

Hi .Me too. Hey i have 4 new 600 watt 24v big pesters i bought a few months ago also they were the highest amps and volts i had ever seen and were not too expensive..Still planning on what to do with them.In the past i have glued them on windows and the temperature difference made good volts and current . these are advertised to freeze a water drop when the hot side is sinked so had to have them. My current projects are Nitinol and all the rare elements at the moment . Once you feel the power of a piece of Niti in your hand it consumes you . Great stuff and simple to move magnets for a Jt power supply that hop[fully runs off Natural Normal everyday temperature . The key is a certain type of Niti that can be trained to phase change on cool and warm air. Heat not a problem but cool is . Will keep you posted .. Other Projects are Crystal Batteries using Gallium Zinc magnesium iridium Indium lithium,gold{processor gold)Barium and Bismuth . I just got grams Ozs  lbs of pure metalic elements that melt in low heat or air temps   and even ordered  a pound of Piezo Barium Titanate Ceramic Silver plated material like John Hutchison uses . Already have a galium Indium bismeth magnisium batter that put out 1.06 volts and light a big jt with green led.

Wow, thanks for all of the information you posted  I managed to light a Led light bulb but not a CFL. I am a little confused when you say "jumping or shorting" the Diode ?

I would like to thank Pirate and Gadgetmall for the assistance you two provided. Shorting the diode made the light output brighter! Now I notice the NPN transistor gets hot after several minutes. I know there's a Npn transistor that would allow a heatsink. Would the bigger transistor also provide more current output and if so what transistor should I use?

So I purchased a 7 watt led from Lowe's and nothing... Don't know if I have to remove the circuits for this led. Also, I managed to partially light a CFL! If I hold the CLl and touch the shorted diode the bulb will partillay light up. Im guessing I am acting as ground so that's why the bulb turns on. The bulb will not turn on if I touch the HV connection where the Cap was. This circuit is proving to be harder to replicate than I thought...

Something similar happened to me in the early days....I had a Fuji that worked...and then...like 3 videos later...did not work...UNLESS I touched the ground on the circuit board.  Some of the smart guys on here told me to check my connections, which of course I soldered perfectly....and, low and behold, the connection of the neg. to the board (I was soldering to the board traces) was bad.  It only worked when I was the ground.  So, check your neg. connection to see if any problems.  You are doing well....you are modding a board that has not been modded very much like the old AA Fuji.  Keep it up...it will work.
