Thanks for the quick reply pirate, I'm almost certain I cut the wrong side of.the diode. For some reason I'm unable to view the image you posted on my phone. I'll keep you posted with my results. Thanks fo r all your help.

After viewing the image, I did cut the diode correctly. My board looks a tad bit different than ones posted. I'll upload a picture of the board when I get a chance.

I believe our own Wilbyinebriated posted on here how to mod the AAA board.  You could check his posts to see.  I only had one AAA board and did not make it work at all.  They are very different from the old AA board.  But Wilby knows how to do it.

Rather than cut the diode i jumped it on the fuji mods i did . both boards . Actually there are like 4 versions of the board and jumping the board works on all of them . If you regulate the base of the transistor with a small pot and tune it with a capacitor you will have much better results with that happy spot between Hv and run time .
I use this one all the time and runs over 38+ hours on a fresh AA battery or 28+ on Rechargeable AA.
Hi Bill I hope you are well and miss you guys and playin with Free energy stuff .
I have a bunch of fuji circuits like 60 or 70  of them to spread around if anyone wants one to make an Fe light  I call it Fe because it simple does what it does Good and had fun building and sharing Different mods to these and other circuits . I have what done what i started out to do and that was find free energy .It lights when the light go out and amazes family and friends and works beyond normal expectations . IF someone would build and sell them on the market today you would buy fewer battery and use less grid power but that is not going to happen so we build our own . My circuit on one of Bill's snapshot is some where buried under the hoard of circuits we all put on here , It would be a task to try and find all of them some between page 11 and 3000 is all i can say. If some one made a Book with all our information and diagrams and pics i would buy one because all of them are here tried and tested and worth keeping when a Holocaust happens .It would take Years and Years to compile it . It would be like a HOLY  JT  Bible with chapter like the Book of Mark(Mk1) and the book of Bill, the World  of Gadget ,Jeanna's Visions .. ... etc:)

extremely simple mod . see the white thing ? thats the positions of the 220 resistor replaced with a vr . the diode short is the black diode on the side of the transformer. not the little glass one .
I have not done anything further on this one as far as tuning but i know it will run that CFL on a lower resistance that the 220 . . o you also push the copper contact down and solder it to keep it on  and place the CFL on the hv cap output .. see how easy that is
