Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Nick,

thanks for the video, but its hard to make out any details.
The scope shot does not look familiar, but i do not know what you were probing, was it the MOSFETs gate or drain, and referenced to what, its source?

Also the scope settings are impossible to see, we need to know the voltage/div. setting and the horizontal setting (timebase), was it at 2us/div. or 20us/div. or...?

Then you can calculate the frequency when knowing the time between 2 peaks and using this website: http://www.calctool.org/CALC/other/converters/freq
Put in the time (say 62us between 2 peaks) and it will calculate the frequency in say KHz (16.129).

Below a screenshot of one of my MOSFETs, yellow is the gate signal and blue the drain signal, both referenced to the source (ground).
I have put up markers on the blue trace set on 2 peaks which are about 62us apart (slightly more then 3 divisions with 1 division set at 20us).
The delta is calculated to be 16.6KHz (top right, 3th from top), but you can do the same with the above website.

And i would not put my scope that close to a working kacher, i know what damage it can do  :(

Regards itsu

   Itsu:
Thanks for the information, and for posting the link to the frequency calculator. I have it in my bookmarks now.

Actually the white junction boxes did contain several of the primary coil tuning caps, all in parallel, and soldered to the two solid copper wires that went through the box, and connected to the Mazilli driver.  Then later I completely forgot to re-installed those caps, when I did away with the boxes. Like throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Don't worry about what my signal looks like for now, until I switch over to the new 24v yoke coils, and re-tune everything once again. As the signal will change,  I'll show what the new scope shots looks like, when I get it together.
The bulbs sure do light up nice though, when the circuit goes into that higher output mode, with no tuning cap. It's too bad the fets can't handle it.

Although I'm retired, I still work 12 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Got to eat... but my self employed job allows me to have time to work on these projects, and post on these forums, while I work out of my own house at the same time.

Nelson:  What's new and exciting with your project???

Geo:  Anything new in your neck of the woods?

Looking at your picture, its obvious its missing there, but as it could be in the (closed) box, no alarm bells went off with us.
Exactamente!

Tonight I was able to get my 24v yoke/ Mazilli crt running on my new 24v 10A power supply, (first time), and I was also able to light 2 100w, 110v bulbs fairly bright, as well as the Kacher circuit, both from the input of the PS. The best news is that the two mosfets are not even warm, even with NO heat sinks or fans. But, the tuning cap that I'm presently using for the yoke primary coil of (12, 12 turns), is getting hot after a while.  Only because of the many caps I tested, this one works the best, but as it's only a 100v,  it will eventually heats up, as can be expected, but it works great, and the PS gets along with it.
Practically all the other caps I tested, to tune the primary coil tank circuit with, kicked -off the PS, or did nothing to improve the brightness of the bulbs. Only a couple of caps worked, but the 100v cap heats up, two other caps that worked, which are a 225v, 400v, which did not heat much at all. So, I should replaced them with by the higher voltage WIMA 600- 1000v capacitors, instead, to help lower any heating, and improve performance.
It's almost midnight here, so,  good night at all,  as Woopy would say.

Hi Nick ,
I do not mean to speak of matters that fall within the topic. People ask me to do not troll the topic with things not related with this topic .
So if you want talk about this subject is better in PRIV.

But without going into detail things go well :) I could improve some general aspects of my circuit, which led to a model even smaller and more powerful. Have a nice aspect with a so small box of 20 by 15 cm with 5 cm thick  compared with the white big box in the video , so a really can say that everything is run ok so far .

by your suggestion i did a little test with katcker circuit and noticed some interesting phenomena like you say . the frequency output with the coil I used is 3.5 MHZ perfect sine wave output .
With 12v 350 miliamps it output 2kv without any load . I play a bit with the primary coil , and so far my best result seems with a pancake bifilar coil as primary in the tesla secondary coil of 4000 turns and with a only 5 turns of heavy copper wire not at end of tesla coil but near .
Everything got crazy , like my calculator get many beeps and my laptop froze the track pad . :)
Maybe I have time later to made a video of my circuit kacker working but at moment  is impossible with my house moves i have all in boxes , but when i have finished my moves and have conditions i will do a video .
Seems everything is running ok to most people since my last posts .  It could be the holidays for the lack of activity ...
Happy you solve your problem in your mazili circuit to bring you to the road again :)

Good luck Nick
