  That is what I also noticed from the first I saw it. I was wondering why Verpies mentioned the Romanov's/akula device. Now I know why. 
  So, I can see possibly why akula would remove his videos from his web site.  However there is still the older videos still available for viewing. Also being shown by several other people on YouTube. And the videos of the smaller yoke that he could not get working properly.

I still have not seen where Romanov is showing that it is a self running circuit though, as akula's video has claimed.

Itsu has already built a circuit like this. He even used a similar yoke ferrite for the core of his transformer.  You can see it here.
He made many clear videos of his construction. Links to them are listed in this thread, for example this video.
Most likely he still has this circuit on his shelf.

Note: Itsu's air-core coil/transformer had different windings than the Romanov/Akula device.

    Verpies and All:
   Yes, I am aware of Itsu's replications. Big shame, I felt, and still feel bad for him after all that great, tidy, and meticulous work.   I commend him for it!  I really do. 
  That is also one of the reasons I'm not just running out and trying to do the same thing, and possibly only obtaining the same results. Zilch!!!
However, this new "no battery no ground" video has me intrigued, to no end, more than ever. And, I can't believe that no one is interested in replicating it, yet.
  We can discuss the fraud aspects till the cows come home. Or how it's all is due to nuclear decay, etz... but, now there is some evidence that ferrite may not even be involved. So, what now, hydrogen, or copper, molecular decay. Or What???
Thing is we don't know, and unless it's radioactive, I don't care...

  While in the meantime our Russians counterparts are on it. I know it, I feel it, and they can help us to decipher this anomaly, if anyone can,   if they want to.

  I'm also on it, day and night, even in my sleep... at times I wish that could sleep, but my mind won't rest until I get this thing going. And I will, one way or another.
