Hi Nick. I found that for some features the manual isn't all that great,
so I had to fiddle around on my own to figure out how some things work. :)

that spectrum analyzer shot was not from my Rigol SA as that one does not go that low (guess your FFT also won't go there), so i used a soundcard

   I'll compare my 10 inch tablet's sound analyzer frequency app readings, with that of the scope's frequency signals, also.

   So a new sweet spot found today at 27.3KHz, or so. And the FETs don't heat up as much there, as at 15KHz. While  showing lower peaks also.
   I'll see if I can kick it into showing the effect at 27KHz. It a!ready likes it there, even without going into the chaotic mode.

  I see that my Fets and the TL494 can only go down to 13KHz, no lower,  but when the effect kicks,  the frequency changes.
I'll chect to see what it changes to.

when i change to 27Khz on the TL494, nothing special happens nor any other frequency outside of resonance (15.5Khz).
The input (@24V) current drops from 6A at resonance to 0.5A or so outside resonance, so off cource nothing heats up
and peaks are lower, nothing strange there.

My tl494 also does not go lower then 13Khz, thats limited by the 1nF cap, change that one and it changes the frequency range,
see my earlier post on the influence of the cap on the frequency.


Did you change the Oleg snubber to how it should be connected?     What was the result?

Nick  Itsu, to be honest, I wouldn't bother too much about anything other than getting the spikes down.

What I find interesting are Nicks new phenomena statements he says he is getting  273000 hz / 8=34125 sounds like you have something the base is 8hz.

the 470nf controls the res freq up to a point by charging pulses ect
