Hi Itsu. That guy's explanation of his grenade winding direction was pretty poor,
but from what I could see in the video the only difference from Ruslan's way of doing it
is layer 6 is wound in the opposite direction to layer 5, rather than both layer 5 and 6 being
wound in the same direction.
All the best...

Which is not what the picture of the original aquarium coil indicates. 
Plus this guy just has a coil, and no circuit, can't even say that his works any better (or at all)

i agree that his presentation is not clear to me being in Russian, but Wesley is doing a good job to translate.
But in spite of that, the drawn diagram and the shot of the grenade does, imo, not match.
It could be the "Russian" way to draw up coils with their own "dot convension" meaning.

Anyway, it should be simple enough to just rewire that last 6th layer and see what kind of effect it has.

   Yes, that is the Stalker channel, that Itsu posted a link to. Check the last two or three newer videos.
   Stalker is making a new device, maybe Itsu might be interested in that device, also. As there is no grenade and no Tesla coil.
And it can produce those white streamers, somewhat similar to what Geo is showing.
   Tesla also talked about bright white streamers.

   Itsu: I placed the RC snubber resistors you suggested, using two 47ohm resistors in series, instead of parallel. The signal is a fairly clean square wave, still over 200v, but showing no RM. Those RC resistors are still getting hot. But, the fets are staying cool.
   I'll replace the fets today with another set of brand new ones. To see if that makes any difference.

Hi d3x0r. Yes, I wasn't suggesting that it is good or bad or right or wrong. I just
mentioned how he appears to be winding the 'grenade' in his video. Yes, it does not
appear to match the way Kapanadze wound those last two layers in the Aquarium 2 video,
although he says this is supposed to be 'Kapanadze's secret'.

you might add another 47 Ohm resistor in series so you would have around 141 Ohm which is close to what i have (170 Ohm).
But you might see some ringing appear again.

No RM is good in my book as it points to oscillations you want to avoid.
