The 'Black Knight Satellite' is hardly ET in the sense of the radio waves being sent by alien beings from Mars, as Tesla thought. However, his discovery did trigger off the development of radio astronomy.

The black knight craft has been in it's orbit at least 50 to 60 years to my knowledge and it has been noticed once terrestrial craft could see it from the lower atmosphere so how long has it really been parked in it's retrograde polar  orbit above Antarctica, capturing a craft and keeping it in that orbit requires power

   That satellite has been in our orbit long before Tesla. Nor was it ours, therefor it is ET in origin. Nor did he need to pick up signals just fom it, alone, back in 1977.
Telepathy is not dependent on anything physical to work. And it seams that Tesla was also a form of medium, or such.
Mars is just another speck of dust in the vast cosmos.

   But, just where Tesla's ideas really came from, is another matter. For another day, or another year.
