Hi everyone,

The current SR193 i have assembled is a utter failure.But i have discovered the root cause of the problem which is the "expensive nanocrystalline toroids" with permeability of 70,000.
Varying various frequency from <50HZ to 40KHZ nothing significant was found on secondary winding with A/C power with various frequency supplying power to primary winding.

I had previously assembled a much smaller copper tubes,ferrite toroid which was completed around 1 year ago base on some other experiment.
Upon winding around 50 turns on ferrite material.I was able to see increase in voltage with copper wire running in the center of copper tube to secondary winding surrounded by toroids.

Moral of the story is "expensive doesn't means it's good".This is the biggest 1 time lost for this year.

Please stick with ferrite core 2000u not the one with Ni-zn content.Base on suggestion from other forums.
This experiment to be continued around 4 or 5 weeks after "home renovation" is completed.

Manganese - Zinc ferrite with a frequency response from around 1K to 1MHz and permeability range from around 850u to 5000u would be the best choice.

Mn-Zn have lowest cavity rezonance frequency ( in old russian TV defletion systems ferites around 1 Mhz ) . So it is best choise for
experiments .
