Can you show scematic of v8

carlo's device which you used. Maybe we can analyse it, and see if we can improve it?

I used additional chokes and caps for filtered DC Input/Output, my HV Voltage was around 500 volts, as spark gap i used a 230v surge arrester. Caps are 82nF(KP)/1500uF(electrolytic), diodes UF5408, coil is made of 24 turns 0,75mm² double speaker wire wound on PVC pipe(air core).

Sorry I had just woken up and missed 50% of the message context...

  Last night, I connected a full wave bridge rectifier and a 400v, 200uf capacitor to the output of my white coil wire feedback coil (white coil wire on the air coil). This feedback path was then connected back to my 12v battery input terminals.
  This was after previously running the circuit and bulb on for 2.5 hours.  The single 25w bulb did dim somewhat when connecting up the feed back circuit, but the bulb continue lighting for another hour or two longer, for a total run time of about 4 hours or so.
I fell asleep and when I woke up the bulb had finally gone off. Total run time was about 3.5 to 4 hours.
   I'm recharging the 12. 4.5aH battery now for another run later on today, or tonight.

   I will also be obtaining a 24v 20 watt (or so) solar panel, to connect up to this circuit.
Hopefully I'll be able to find the 18v zeners, as well. 
  Again, any ideas are welcome. 
 
  Geo: Where are you....  I've repeatedly asked for your help with the feed back circuit.
Anyways, I'm doing what I can on my own. What else can I do...
