I dunno about much bigger... slightly bigger... the diameter of a 2 wires maybe
Itsu's actually looks smaller..  but the smaller the shorter the pulse that can be had (lower inductance, lower reactive inductance)

   Thanks for uploading the Akula diagrams. I had asked about the second Akula video device schematic. You uploaded several. None of them confirmed as working schematic, as shown in the video. That's sad, or maybe it's just me that's sad about that, and what we have to go through, to figure this out. But, it is what it is. 
In anycase which schematic refers to the second video device? Thanks again... I appreciate your help.
I guess that I can guess, or try to figure it out myself, but would rather know, if possible.

   My chokes on the input side of the Mazilli crt are also getting very hot, hot enough to melt the wire insulation.
The joule ringer circuit's transistor (that I connected to the yoke core's output) also gets hot, especially when connected to the yoke. Which also burnt two transistor, up to now.
I connected a single diode from the JR crt HV output to the yoke, to superimpose the two currents, using the obtained Dc half wave. No real difference that I can see in the brightness of the bulbs when the HV is also connected to the yoke, with or without the diode, although the frequency does change somewhat, as does the  pitch of the ringing sound.
  I will upload the video that I made, just so you can all see what I'm talking about.
