Hi Guys,

I would like to know opinion.  I got shocked yesterday by the coil lying nearby the device. Than I realize the question how much are components sensitive to this field. Mainly capacitors. Can all this ruin or to help to reach effect?.  Should we shield or expose our electronic device to that field??

Hi John,

From the videos I've watched, it seems that the secret to not getting shocked is to walk around barefoot.  ;D Seriously though, don't place any sensitive electronic devices close to the coils.

Hoppy,

That coil was as far as 30cm. Is your electronics more far?? ;)

John,

If you are referring to the electronics for the Ruslan replication, then in an attempt to replicate Ruslan's device as closely as possible, we should try to build circuit and layout our components and coils spatially in a similar way to that shown in his videos. I have no interest in trying to deviate widely from the 'masters' design. The only thing I'm not copying is his use of plastic boxes.

So i used a standalone, 11m wire, Tesla bifilar, (2 layers) coil on a bare 5cm OD tube.

Hi Itsu. I see. Thanks for the clarification.
All the best...
