I think the purpose of the diagram above is to show the tanks and (capacitor/ coil ) sizes used. and wire sizes used. The small yellow transformer is for feedback. Video shows a small ferrite toroid
with i think 40 turns on it. It is basically a current sensor providing feedback to the oscillator so it can keep the thing running in resonance. It does not seem to be a critical design as long as the
LM393 picks up the frequency/phase and converts it to a square wave input to the PLL chip.  In my opinion Tv yoke is the most critical component (must be barium ferrite no electrical conduction type) i think resonance of it changes everything. The frequency of (high current coil input running at a multiple of ferrite resonance and of course the tesla high voltage field pulses input running in phase with the positive wave form of low current coil. So that the grenade coil output can pickup magnetic field from high current coil and electric field from high voltage field tesla) So this is all a special 3 coil transformer with high current field and high voltage field near the same output coil. Everything running in multiples of resonance with the all critical tv yoke (high current field source). All coil lengths multiples of each other (40m/20m/10m). Use capacitors as final adjustments to bring your tanks into resonance.  I am a tv technician of 20+ years starting in the 80s.  ordered parts to start my replication.  This project should be impossible to make work but i have seen to many videos and never have i seen such a transformer with high voltage and high current feeding same output. That is not standard design for sure so worth experimenting.

starting to see the full picture of this now too.
I was planning to use the yoke 28turns rectified to kacher, but now it's a must try .
Now it's looking more like Akula's schema.

About the grenade having all coils same direction reminds me of my RMG project, All the coils are Same direction.
and yes it raises higher voltages, I remember.

Btw I want to ask which schema have you used to make PushPull? Can you post a Schema you used?
I have one of akula's first device TL494, today and tomorow will be on bench to test it too.

OK, I agree about the deflection yoke core.......  Do you know where to purchase the 'old' style Soviet Barium Ferrite yoke cores?
I have not had any luck locating such a beast.
I would appreciate any info......
