It was originally posted by youtube user 'Lari Man' on April 1st. I am not sure
if 'Lari Man' is the originator of that video, and I am not certain it is a hoax,

There was also a post made to the realstrannik forum regarding the video saying 'the circuit only works
on April 1st', but that thread has been deleted already. It looks like it was probably just an April Fool's Day joke...

  The video on the lightning strike doesn't mean that there is lightning going from the ground to the clouds. It shows that when the impact of that much voltage from the lightning bolt hits the ground it has to go somewhere, and some of that may return to where it came from. And, if the ground is not as very conducive, like when it's very very dry, compare to the wet clouds from where the bolt came from, it could create a BEMF, as well.
  You'll never see lightning start from the ground and go to the clouds.  What you see is a reaction from the originating airborn strike.

  I don't use that capacitor that you asked about on my Mazilli crt.  But, if you are using an electrolytic cap, that is not what is indicated there. Non electrolytic is what's called for.
