Hi Mag,  In Enjoyking's schematic it says you can choose where to put the GND.  it says "put here or there"  ;)

Just for fun you can check the "DesertExperimenter"'s youtube channel where he shows some interesting effect from shorted coils as per Vladimir Utkin scematic. ;)  https://www.youtube.com/user/DesertExperimenter

ONLY TO NICKZ

Hello NickZ  :)

My recommendation for you is new digital oscillograf RIGOL DS1052E, 2channel 50MHz - with simple software hack it is good 2 channel 100MHz oscilloscope with 1Gsample/sek.. I think it is ideally for you because you are not beginer in electronics for yours 35 years working electronic-industry experience.

So 1st one is new Rigol DS1052E direct from Chinese factory with 3 years warranty for 260 bucks. I dont know delivery cost but probably about 50 bucks.

2nd was used Rigol DS1052E from EBAY auction and come from Britain. Current bid is 150 bucks. You have about 9 hours to end bid !. I think every price up to 200 bucks is OK price for used. Good luck !!

If you are not interesting for digital i will check some old analog oscillografs - my recommendation here are some of old Lecroy oscillografs because they have best quality timing and triggering capability. Only one problem with them is - they are expensive - but in my oppinion worth for quality they give. Also Lecroy has stopped their production long time ago - so repair and service are big problem for all old oscillografs.

ps: NickZ - friendly advice - don't waste money and time for any USB, android, or similar oscillograf toys.

Reg.

My Dear Enjoykin.

Ah, if only !! No good news on the overunity front. I was just trying to find out if the page was cached or working properly after yesterdays blackout.

Cheers Grum.

     Enjoykin:
Thanks for the info on the scope. However, I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars for a scope to be used to work on a device that may end up not working, as a self runner. I have invested very little money on my device(s) up to now.

I can afford up to $150, including shipping. Not $300 or higher.  I've made a couple of offers on Ebay already, but they did not
get accepted, and other offers won.  I will get around to it, in any case, but I'm waiting to find someone coming from the U.S. to bring a used one, once I buy one that I can afford.
In any case, even the guys that have nice new expensive scopes, don't have any self running result yet, at all.

Even a used analog scope to be shipped to me here in Costa Rica, will be in the range of $200 or higher. As shipping charges are about $120, or so. And the older analog scopes, with HV will only last a year or two at most in my humid, salty, conditions next to the beach.

There's a lot of unknowns with this project, and it's various schematics. Each diagram is showing different components, wirings, turns counts, etz... They may all be right, or they may all be wrong. Who knows...
In any case I'll continue working on this device, with or without a scope, or proven information as to its build, as I have faith that this particular device does work, and has also been witnessed by at least two people.

To the rest of the naysayers, well, they can do as they like.  I will not discuss more about fakes, at all.

EDIT:  Here's the link to my latest video, made last night.
   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlDAP9KtnkQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player

The Kacher crt is running off a 12v, 2 amp wall adapter, and this input is also partially lighting a 25w bulb, and a 50w bulb, plus the Kacher crt. As the same 12v 2A wall adapter is also connect to the yoke crt.
I've also now gotten the small round 110v test bulb to light better since then, by switching the ground line to the other side of the bulb's two input lines.
Keep in mind, that the wall adapter, if connected directly to just the 25 watt bulb, by itself, will NOT light the bulb, not even a little bit.
