Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

The cap, other diode and resistor together I'm not so sure about.

Maybe intended to 'sharpen' the gate pulse leading edge as sometimes used with bipolar transistor switching. Not needed with mosfets. Could these be IGBT's?

Please give your interpretation of this waveform.
Multiple cycles of HF oscillation (appearing as a short "spike") superimposed on peaks of a LF sine wave.
If this waveform is the result of operation of this circuit, then it is almost an anomaly.

I write "almost" because the width of the spike is relatively long compared to the cycle of the LF sine wave and not centered on its peak exactly.

Agreed, if it is straight switched from a semiconductor but I would guess that the switch S2 is a semiconductor being switched by a timed burst of HF.

Do you think that the energy level in the 'out of resonance' segment of the waveform captured in the storage cap as a DC voltage level exceeds the energy level of that same segment of the waveform had it not been shorted?
Please see for yourself - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXzKu8OXQMo
It is a way how we can amplify power very easily. And yes, there is at least "virtual" power in this method what allows to drive cars and do other stuff from very small battery.

And isn't it quicker to stop long speculations then get your hands dirty and try for yourself? :)
