Yes, in this case where there is no clear reference point! When you show a direction of sight eye, its important for other viewers to realise that your CW / CCW designations are based on viewing the winding direction with respect to the start of the winding, not with respect to the ends of the winding being looked at. This is where confusion creeps in. Looking at the wind direction starting from each end of the wire gives the same wind direction, as pointed out by 'From other planet' in post 2398.

Possibly not but there is an inconsistency in 00's diagrams. He shows a true anti-phase coil arrangement between legs 1 & 2 in his flyback schematic but the inner windings legs 1 & 2 over the ferrite core are shown in-phase as they are a drawn and labelled as a continuous CCW wind with just a 1" gap in the middle. As I understand from 00's text, both the flyback and ferrite coil legs are supposed to be wound anti-phase.

Hi Hoppy about flyback schematic in phase or not it worked when I did it. Ok don't know if it's OU or not as stated.
It seems that 00 know how to build this circuit but communication is always a problem.

Hopefully, 00 has built and proved that the schematics he has posted work OU.

I would like 00 to confirm whether the flyback coil legs should be in anti-phase and the inner 'ferrite' coils in-phase, as shown for the ferrite rod and ferrite ring schematics.
