I've been following that one on OU Research. Its a hidden lithium watch cell or maybe new technology flexible cell inside the insulator. The spring is coated so as to be non-conductive. Nonetheless, a rather clever and well executed scam.

  In any case, it would be good to clarify IF there is any other power or input source, other than that 9v battery. And also just what he means by that the device is not a free energy device, but something else. He has mentioned that the cap banks are NOT connected yet.
  However, lets give him a chance, as I believe his intentions are good, and not what you might think as being anything such as a possible scam. I see no indication of that, at all. Nor do I think that the company employing him to develop his circuits, and providing him with all the new gear we can see in the videos, would think that as well. And which is why he also can't just spill the beans, nor open source it, like he has explained.
  I'm glad to see that his health is good now, and that his life style has also taken a turn for the better.  As well as mentioning that he is not looking for nor needing any investors, as he already has that, as well.

Although he says there are no cap banks connected, that does not confirm that there is not an internal pre-charged high farad cap or caps, or even battery, sufficient to provide enough power to light the lamp for the short period shown. His comment about the device not being a free energy device makes sense from his statement that I again copy below.

"A self runner device is not a free energy device , but a more convenient way to convert and produce currents in a self sustaining oscillation circuit where the output is capable to produce more work (W) and provide the enought power to sustaining the circuit until "main power input" is depeleted or interrupted."

The main power input cannot be depleted if the device is truly self-running in the manner we associate with other self-runners. The 9V battery is operating a latching circuit, as used by Kapanadze and others. A source power interruption will stop the device, which would then need to be re-started using the battery. I suspect that Nelson may have found an efficient way of feeding back energy to the source supply using an oscillator to produce HV in the form of BEMF, which is then transformed back down to DC and fed-back to source. This conversion process, as done with Bedini and Don Smith devices etc., is claimed to 'capture' ambient energy. During my long experimentation with Bedini tech, taking many COP measurements, my results never completely ruled this out. Therefore I'm not suggesting that Nelson is not being honest with us about his belief that his device captures energy, just maybe a bit short of the truth about the need for a source of energy, other than the 9V battery.

Looks pretty simple - so I dug up a toroid I had, and a signal generator, and put a coil through the toroid and measured various output... I eventually got a higher power generator, and attached a transistor and higher voltage (better power through the dirving coil) because it is a LOT of turns.  I ended up sitching the drive to a much lower turn coil on it (like 24 turns) and was getting higher signals on output....


What I found generates the best sort of output with a coil through a toroid is to run current for a short time through the toroid, then stop the current for a long time.   The resulting oscillations in the dead space transfer energy best... like typically your highest transfers are at the swtich on/off of a pulse... but this was well after the switch time...
