Is it new strategy of forum trolls how to make discussions off-topic (even Wesley is involved)? Is it really so difficult to use original forum for it? Or are the people here getting so senile, they cannot even keep urine and topic of discussion?

Zephir It's not up to you to diagnose other members with medical assumptions or to insult others by name calling, this thread has had it's problems in the past in an effort to stop 'postings that might be of help to others.

As a relative newcomer to OU. Com you seem to have overlooked the fact that most of the contributors to this thread are long term. Heck, I consider them as extended family nowadays.

We have a tendency to drift from time to time but, for the most part we're " on topic " but " variety being the spice of life " I for one welcome the odd detour.

Your use of the word " Troll " here on this thread is totally unacceptable and, if I may be so bold? Who is it that's popping in and out of the many threads running on this forum ?

They claim a bright light source capable of heating up that graphite sphere from inside to 3000ºC.

According to the Stefan-Boltzmann law, a 1m² of blackbody surface heated up to 3000ºC emits 6508kW of light.
That seems like a pretty solid claim to me.

My previous post was targeting inconsistency in material presented for  the public and that applies to anyone who is trying commercialize energy conversion devices.

What is true in FE I explained some basics for physics behind FE.

In this post  I'm targeting factor of  motivation:
1. whenever we dealing with FE enthusiast  every kind of error in conceptual thinking  is allowed  as long as it is not intentional.
2. whenever we are dealing with potential money makers nothing is allowed, but  100% confidence in minds of public , as in effect public is going to pay for it.

Years got me to the point of never ignoring Verpies comments.
At first Verpies I would appreciate if you give me exactly the minute of video that statement is made.
I have no problem with energy conversion but   question reminds open  so what?
1.Photon does not have mass, it is form of pure energy carrier. https://www.physicsforums.com/threads/what-is-energy-in-reality-is-it-photon.585967/   (this text is only narrow form of discussion  usually applicable to PET Positron Emission)

2. energy used to heat  the graphite > energy converted  to "light." 

3.Photon is blind and can not  see or interact with any other photon including its own cloud of photons.  Photon can only interact with mass and by that lose energy in process of conversion to e.g heat.
So now we are dealing with losses only from the beginning of it.

Verpies please direct me to  exactly  what you meant by pointing at  Stefan-Boltzmann law, and light.

The S-B relation or law is correct and has been shown to be so, of course.

The claim by BLP, however, is implausible, because that much energy and that high temperature, combined with the evolved gases, would destroy that nice graphite sphere structure in a minute. ("minute" here meaning an unspecified but relatively short time interval.) And for many other reasons as well, as Wesley notes.

Are those graphite bolts and nuts holding it together? What is the tensile strength of the graphite used in the sphere and hardware?  What miracle solder is used to solder up that copper piping?

They are just questions Leon, they are written down for me. (a Blade Runner quote, if you missed it.)

It would be nice, I agree, to move the BLP discussion to a separate thread, so as not to distract this one from Nick's build and experimentation.
