  I am not a believer of drawing any real power FROM the earth.Power from thin air or the ambient is what I'm into. But, an earth connection can help some circuits self run.Or so it seams...

Ah! thats not the goal here as the MOSFET is only a 450 volt device more power would need expansion here but not in this set up,

With just half wave rectifacation its 20v at 12 ma.
the osc and driver uses 52ma to drive the FET

Ask your self does your grenad have inductance ? that might be another problem to sort out.

   What I ask then,  is what is the point? What are you trying to show?

  My grenade is wound to the specs. With different windings, etz...
   Many types of grenades have been tried. Yet, no OU, nor self running to be had.
