Great Find!

Newer...corrected www link;

Lifetime specifications on these are similar to Edison Iron/KOH batteries but with similar
electrical characteristics to acid/lead batteries.

Interesting new twist on salesmanship.

The SiO2 crystalline acidified "elecrolyte"
is in fact the Gel Cell or even the AGM
Cell.  They're "starved electrolyte" and
sealed (SLAB) lead acid batteries and thus
can have quite a long life.  They've been
around for a several decades

Dear OWCL,

So, OK thanks for the heads up.

When I went to the Chinese Company web site and the .pdf file for this product, it
completely lacks the data curves that the South African Company emphasized heavily.
So I can not tell if these refer to the same product of or not. I do believe that as
documented in the .pdf file that the Chinese have improved their product and that
it could now have specs shown on the South African web site. But I can not be sure
without further investigation.

Because acid/lead storage batteries are reaching a point of obsolescent relative to Lithium
Batteries this part is not really very important. I am simply interested in the acid/lead
battery chemistry for other reasons.
