Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Interesting paper from the  JOURNAL OF APPLIED PHYSICS 109, 064903 (2011) from Division of Applied Physics, Randall Laboratory, University of Michigan, Michigan
  "
Charge separation mediated by linearly-polarized light in transparent insulators is analyzed
numerically by integrating the equations of motion of a bound charge. It is shown that large static
and transient dipole moments can be induced by the magnetic component of light at nonrelativistic
intensities regardless of whether the pumplight is coherent or incoherent. Quantitative estimates
show that efficient conversion of optical beams to electrical power is possible in lossless dielectric
media and that THz radiation can be generated in unbiased materials through the use of transverse
optical magnetism. VC 2011 American Institute of Physics. [doi:10.1063/1.3561505]

This paper may or may not be partly usefull in understanding or varifing the posibiilty of Tesla's radiant energy collector using a plate like a solar panel if a polish was applied to the plate which acted as a clear dilectric insulator.

Terahertz wave is just far infrared light.
There are plently of inefficient ways to mix down a terahertz wave into a low frequency radio wave.
Do you think this radio wave can become our household electricity supply?

No I dont think stepping it down to radio wave length is required when you could take all the way down to what ever your system uses. I found the paper to be pretty much right on que. Solar cell tech has to be kept out of reach for the home DIY'er. Imagine if people could buy 10 ft bundles of fiber optic cables and a magnifying lense and build thier own cheap and easy. No one will proffit from that. Worse still since your not knocking electrons free in the meterial it will last for ever unlike normal cells. This method also takes up less space in a sense. The length of the fiber the light tavels through can be extreamly long wrapped up in a coil/s placed in the ground out of the way. Im not going to explore it right now I will come back to it after I find a free source of left over fiber optic cable. Window glass would be difficult in long enough lengths and I dont have any laying around but if some happens along I will test it out on a micro scale. It would be funny if it can be built as a layered cap with glass and foil just by exposeing the edges of the glass to sun light. It would likely take a lot of layers to make up for the shorter lengths.

Could you post a copy of this paper on the forum?
Or equally, could you kindly post the title of the paper?

I used the title of the paper as the topic title and a pdf link in the first post as a hyper link using the addy of the file.
