No problem... it takes one to know one, I guess.... :P

Can you give me a hint? Tell me what it's not doing that it's supposed to do, or what it's doing that it's not supposed to do....

Probably the most common problem is coil phasing. If it's not working at all but you know you have the schematic correct, try reversing the connections to one of the coils, either the primary or the secondary. (Usually you will have to reverse the primary because of the physical layout; you might not be able to reverse the secondary.)

There are 4 possible ways to hook up the 2 coils. Usually 2 will work and 2 will not, and of the 2 that do work, one may work slightly better than the other.

Are you all out there trying to find something you can profit off of and not just playing with anything, or something? ??? :P

With all due respect, I totally understand what Slayer was doing when offering up his exciter kits for sale.  I believe that is a very good thing.  It allows a lot of folks to play with an advanced device that they would never be able to produce themselves, and thereby, gets many more people involved in experimentation.  Sure, some people have the knowledge and experience to build their own, and they have as Slayer has documented all of his work and made it available for FREE to all.  Others with lower skill levels can now also get involved thanks to what he has done.  Is he making a little money by doing this?  I sure hope so.  He has spent a lot of time and money doing his research and not too many of us are that financially secure that we can afford to work at this level on a consistent basis.

Myself, I am now working on bringing 2 different products to market to, yes, hopefully earn some money.  Money which will be used to fund my lab and allow me to be able to continue to do research into many things.  To me, this is a much more honest approach than begging for money on a GOFUNDME type of crowd funding site without doing anything more than just making a few claims like the QEG save the world folks have done.  That is getting money for free whereas actually inventing something, designing it and bringing it to market at a decent cost (which takes a lot of effort and money) is a far more honest approach as folks actually get a product that works, not just empty promises and false claims.

TK:  We are all still awaiting your announcement of the Micro-QEG kits.  I am telling you that you will sell many more of these than you ever thought.  The money will go to fund TK Labs and help you to continue to bust the scammers out there bilking honest folks out of their hard earned money.

Bill, thanks for the kind thoughts, but I just can't make the economics work!

The whole microQEG has less than 20 dollars worth of parts in it but I would have to sell a kit for a hundred dollars to make it worth my time, ordering and assembling and mailing out, etc etc. Anybody who would pay me that kind of money, when they could just place a DigiKey order and have everything in their mailbox in 4 days for 1/5 the cost... is clearly nuts. No offense intended. Here, I'll prove it: Everyone is welcome to look at the parts list and make the DigiKey order yourself, then send me four times the money that you send DigiKey, for my design and prototyping efforts. I won't hold my breath waiting for the first such check, though.
;)

Things like the LaserSaber flashlight are different, where he is actually doing some real value-added work with the design and the 3-d printed housing, etc, that is a different story. He can legitimately charge for his added value and the printed housing. The microQEG is just a handful of parts and can be assembled in many different ways, and my "added value" only consists of the design, the specific component values, and what I do with it after it's assembled... and all of that information is only a couple of mouse clicks away because my work on this forum is _open source_ 100 percent.

ETA: I really thought that the MHOP would have attracted more interest than it has. MH and I solved several problems with that project and made something that "blows Bedini away" in terms of ease of use and final effects, but is perhaps slightly more difficult to construct since it requires a bit of skill with the two or three chips it uses.

Loser

I have done everything the right way, I think. It does everything else just fine except for LEDs. It even shows ion wind and turns average no-good incandescents to plasma globes. You know, stuff that it's supposed to do. It even makes my digital watch go blank when near it and makes old useless CfLs and neon glow. Is there supposed to be some special orientation for placing the LEDs or maybe some parameters for it? I mean, it even lights candles and paper!
