jikwan

yes, i can do it using a power adapter

i am wondering if the power adapter is really neccessary

why cant i use direct mains? i mean, my 2 plates are quite far
apart and i can move them further apart if i need to
dont have to put in so much electrolite in case 240v will draw
too much current

why not direct mains?

I have done plenty of "mains in water" work...

a nice heavy diode will do wonders ,and if your water is pure enough it won't even draw any
current or do much of anything...[a good starting point when mixing electrolytes ]

shoot me an Email if you want more help..

thank you!

and yes Jikwan,in case you did not know...the gas you play with is explosive, the electricity you
play with can Kill you...and just in case you really don't understand ...the electricity can make a spark and blow you up...also some electrolytes off gas poisons ,some are deadly all by themselves and  while we're at it watch out for screwdrivers too, be extra careful because more people are killed injured blinded and maimed by the miss use of the common #2 screwdriver ...
and it all goes down hill from there...
