What do you mean IF?  First, you claimed 1.7 O.U. and now, within the past day or so, I saw a new figure from you of around 2.5 O.U.

Now you say we must understand these questions before we proceed.  Proceed to what?  Obtaining O.U.?  But, you have said that you have already done that so...............

I mean, I make a certain JT circuit.  I have no problems explaining to others how to replicate this circuit.  (Many have)  I do not tell them...."Well, you need to understand these questions...and...I took it apart and don't have it anymore...and...anyone that can't make this work is an idiot."

So, now we are back to IF?

If you saw a proper energy/power auditing for this circuit you would see how your statements don't make sense because the measurement doesn't make sense.

When you strip this down to its bare bones you can ignore the MOSFET.  The MOSFET only serves to "stoke the fires" of L1.  Even the inline amp meter reading from the 6.7 volt power source is not relevant.

You have to actually follow the power or energy flow, and measure in the flow.  When the MOSFET switches on, there is an energy flow from the 6.7 volt power source.  You can measure that.  Then you can measure how much of that energy goes into L1.  That's a second measurement.  You can calculate the efficiency.   That is one complete set of measurements.

Then the second set of measurements is what I previously described.  L1 goes from current value A to current value B during the discharge cycle.  So you can measure that energy value with the inductance value and the starting and ending currents.  Then when L1 discharges, you measure how much energy goes into the loop load.  That is a second complete set of measurements.

That's the real deal, I got an A+ in pulse circuits.  Make those two sets of measurements properly and then you can congratulate yourself for a job well done.

My O.U. claims?  I have never, in the 7 years I have been on this site and others, claimed O.U. in any shape, form or fashion.
