And yes, EMJ did also post a hybrid RC oscillator that is causing confusion with folks getting mixed up about which device we are referring to.

My experience with these devices is from the early 1950's onward to present day if that has any worth, though  doubt it.

Us older guys are dropping like flies, so soon we'll all be "out of the way".

This winter I'm putting my money on this home-made Kludge
for warmth, next year it may be a Thane C. Heinz transformer.
Who knows?

I'd keep the log splitter in good stead and well oiled if I were you, as opposed to next years bet, unless you like really high electric bills..

On the Figuera thread there is the 1908 patent which was cracked (IMHO) lately and it very much resemble the partnered coils design to eliminate Lenz effect. In my humble opinion it is the most important design of all times.
