Proving/Disproving Vortex/Torus Coil

I've been watching free energy and overunity devices for a while now. Most of them are fake of course, but people have been working on the vortex coil for years and regularly uploaded content. I haven't seen anyone disprove it though, so I deemed it worthy to see if it works myself, problem is I'm pretty much a layman.

This is what I've come up with and I hope you can give me some pointers:
I already have a 2F Capacitor I plan on using as a battery. Reason is that wattmeters and batteries would not be precise enough. I got a car amp and wire for the coil, only thing I'm missing is a frequency generator. I can of course use my cellphone as one, but I want to power everything from one limited source that pretty much always has the same load. First I'll power leds without the coil, amp and freq gen. Time how long they stay on and then do the same with everything attached. If the coil produces/reduces energy the LEDs should stay one longer or be brighter.

What do you guys think? Is this foolproof or am I missing something?
