May be you have already fallen for some esoterics. Almost everybody has more or less and every now and then. Esoterics are very interesting because they offer the super natural. Who does not want to understand the super natural? But if you try to get to the bottom of the super natural, you get lost in your own mind or you become a follower giving yourself up to strange ideas. It might be fun, but I am not brave enough.

Some thoughts about religion:

I am not condemning any religion. In fact I envy people who find solace in a religion, it seems to make their life much easier.

There are schools of thought who claim that religion is an essential part of every civilization. Or said in more simple words: no civilization without religion. Of course I do not know if that is true or not.

I see religion as an attempt to describe what is good and what is evil. And it becomes very dangerous and deadly if a religion starts to enforce what is good and what is evil. Therefore I keep my distance from religion, pure self preservation and cynicism.

And when I say "scamming is 50% of being human" I mean that religion is a big part of being human. And in many ways a religion has attributes of a scam. Religion offers intangible goods and draws power and also lots of money from that. In a way the followers of a religion are also its victims.

I have great respect for all religions, although it is more fearful respect, let's say I am in awe of the power of religion.

In the 1950ies one could still feel in every day life the huge influence and power of the Roman Catholic Church in Austria, specially in rural Austria. This oppressive influence started to be lifted in the 1960ies and 1970ies. Nowadays the Roman Catholic Church has lost ground and esoterics are gaining. May be with the massive influx of Moslims the religions of Islam will soon play the oppressive role (which I fear so much).

Watch out, religion is waiting to oppress you the moment they have enough power! Religious leaders are very nice people as long as they have no power over you. So, do not hand over power!

Governments full of broken promises and corruption-that now make the laws all by them selves.

These people(governments) are suppose to represent us--do what the people deem to be right. We pay there wages--they work for us---->but they do as they please,and we sit by and watch it happen--every day

Governments (from the local level to the United Nations) do what they do because you and I let them do it.

You and I are too damned lazy and saturated to mount any opposition.

You and I think that politics comes to us for free. We have forgotten or over-looked that we have to participate in politics in order to have "good politics".

If I let you do politics as you like it without overseeing you, well, you will do as you please (and vice versa).

So, "the people" (I mean you and me) are digging their own grave by not participation in earnest in politics. Only during revolutions enough people stand up to make a difference.
