Study in several countries indicates that smokers are less affected by corona virus!

Is it because of temperature of smoke?  Instead of smoking cigarette, if we  just heat the normal air to the temperature same as that of cigarette smoke, inhale it through mouth and release through nose, will it kill the viruses in lungs, mouth, nose and throat?  Usually viruses don't survive at high temperatures.  Animals which have higher body temperatures than humans are not affected by viruses.

It's most likely due to the nicotine, nicotine acts as a cytokine inhibitor, limiting your body from an over active immune response and the associated inflammation.
