Don't underestimate the power of the spark-gap frequency controller.


In modern times we work backwards, engineering the coil for a specific frequency.
Tesla (while he COULD and sometimes DID do this) generally tuned the frequency of the circuit to match the coil. This is a much faster and easier process.
And can be used to bring any size Tesla coil online.
