Hi All,

New update on this build, I got all the parts in and lets see if this could be the first true OVER UNITY.

Hi Tom,

I think your idea of making the gear smaller than the flywheel is a good idea.  I believe that will help the flywheel over come the effect of the slide magnet wanting to push back against the flywheel magnet.  And having your design adaptable for different size gears is also a great idea.  I just watched you last video and everything is looking great.

I am planning to also give your idea a try.  My son has a new 3D printer and I have been using FreeCad to draw up some small gears to repair a ball clock drive mechanism for the clock. His printer did a nice job of printing them once we got all the settings correct. I ordered today some one-way bearings and some chromed steel rods.  I probably won't use the linear bearings as I already have a lot of other bearings.  I have had pretty good success using aluminum angle as a track for bearings so I may try that at first.

Take care,
Carroll

Hi Carroll,

Thanks for your support.

TinkerCad is free and simple to used, it has gears and you can design anything. The best part is is sends the STL files direct to a 3d printer software.

This is were you can find the link and its free.

Hi again Tom,

I have heard of TinkerCad but I have used FreeCad before and am used to it.  It also is free and works on all platforms, Windoze, Mac and Linux.  It has several different work benches so even if you are used to doing Cad with some other software you can probably find a work bench that works like you are used to doing things.  I use the part bench which looks like what TinkerCad uses.  FreeCad also has addon modules for doing gears and other functions.  Their gear program is really easy to use.  Once I get some parts in I'll start designing my gears and racks to work with what I have.

I am also watching your pulse motor progress.  I too use an Arduino for my projects that need a microprocessor.  Looking forward to more videos from you on both projects.

Take care,
Carroll

Hi Carroll,

Sounds great and if I can help in any way let me know.

Being open source to search for true over unity should be our main goal in OU, but money always seems to be a factor in today world.

I believe true freedom is having the knowledge to make your own energy and never depend on the rich and powerful.
