Hi All,

I want to test this system to convert wasted lithium batteries into usable hydrogen gas to run a small engine/generator.

The concept is to add lithium metal to a container that sprays water with a control injector to create enough reaction to make hydrogen, but not to saturate with too much water where it could explode
The vacuum pulls the H2 out to be stored in a container and using a injector to run small engine.

This is a simple design so far.

Hi All,

Not a expert in Lithium, but realize when mixed with water it produce hydrogen and heat.

If I control the water hitting the metal, I believe I could keep it from getting out of control and exploding.

I like to have any input on this build, will it work?

I think Li batteries use a lithium salt or other compound, rather than metallic lithium.

TommeyReed

Hi Paul,

Yes, but it does create hydrogen gas when mix with water.

This link I found, seems to be think in the same direction I am.

And also we need to sort how to make The proper lithium nitrate ( 20ppm in water /500 psi...runs an ICE )
For Sam Leach "shelved" /suppressed...water fuel claim (attached below ).

Found this lithium nitrate method.

Might ask that fellow north of me to help ,he is all about open source..also
He seems to like "new applications" and chemistry ?
( you tuber _Tech Ingredients_?)

Recycling Lithium is a great need ...( many are trying)
Hydrogen production would be wonderful if doable,

Even better if we had a safe hydrogen storage medium  like plasma kinetics ( "suppressed" by US patent office for 10 + ? Years...).metal hydride  tape storage .

( similar to Bob Lazar's Corvette https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Yyiw9I3AVaU
However many times more user friendly!

Whats for yah ne're go bye yah
Thanks Grandma
