Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

The biggest problem is that the majority of the most intelligent people who can do things "sell out" for profit.

They invent something, patent, develop it then sell out to people like Elon Musk. The real inventor only receives a small fraction while the most useless business people seem to profit the most. Kind of like a wheat farmer only getting $5/bushel which goes on to make $100 worth of bread. Why not make there own bread, sell it and keep most of the profit?. However some twisted governments stopped this by creating laws saying a farmer must sell there produce to licensed brokers. Which reduces small farmer/producers to basic laborers.

I would never sell out and we cannot keep empowering psychotic people like Musk making them richer. They pay little or no tax, get huge subsidies, manipulate others for profit, in effect there free loaders. It should be obvious that at some point only a few people will own and control everything. These people then give there wealth to there children tax free and the cycle continues. Only the terminally naive would think any billionaire has others best interests in mind.

In my opinion the best option for an inventor is crowd funding and producing/selling there own technology similar to what Prusa did for 3D printing. Build it, produce it, own it.

This works until you want to take it worldwide. Then a large number of people are needed to do various jobs and they deserve fair remuneration.

Inventors that can run ANY sort of business, are exceedingly rare. Let alone start something small and grow it to large scale and great success.
Ever seen a promotional document designed by an engineer?

I think we as a fellowship need to acquire and offer skills that inventors lack, to offer more paths to global implementation. It's sort of OK for an inventor to want a quick pay-off, but it forces them to keep their stuf a secret. If inventors ever came outside, they'd know there is a lot of money to be made from a BRAND. Become that brand, go deliver lectures at large universities and conferences, as the world is in a development war to rip off your invention. Fighting to achieve lower energy costs and spread them far and wide even to place where there is no abundance of power at any cost.

If Meyer had gone open source, but copyrighted a Stangine, for Stan's Engine, he could have done great things with that. All the brands would be having Stangines in them, and calling it any differently would be bad for business because customers have heard of the Stangine and they'll have nothing else now. Stangine cars could come with a $1000 donation to Stan Da Man, approved by Stan himself in their marketing materials.
Stan, he wanted billions, up front, for his own new branch of churches, all new buildings, etc. Because his water engine was peanuts compared to the religion he'd crafted. Yeah.

Let's just accept that most inventors are horrible in business. And this who appeared to be good at business, were mostly great at finding investors eager and dumb enough to fall for their elaborate scams and "measurement errors".
To scam someone, you need to be charming, well spoken and: smarter than your victim. Make the victim feel very smart and he'll never suspect a thing.
