@ I.H.

I'm following so far, I hoped to have been completed with construction last night, but The last two days, I've gotten called out for work at roughly 5 - 5:30am, and ended up working until almost 6pm both days... so (boring blathering here... )
Here's a quickly snapped pic of my quickly assembled Cell, My anode, cathode&neutral plates. I'm just going to true up the neutral + connection plates in the mill, mount the plate holders, wire it... then get my pwr supply & funct. gen setup...

btw, anyone that's maybe unclear on some things, this should give you some clues..
I'd recommend watching from the first episode to the most current:http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=johnaarons

Probably help if I include the freakin pic... duh...

Good post rapttor and nice job on the cell so far .A little pointer for you
take some 24 or 36 grit sandpaper and scratch those plates up as much as you can  vertical to the position in the container.

I agree , I think everyone that can get onto YouTube , check out everything Arrons has done from day one  until now.The way he does things is very informative and  much more scientific then you will see me do here .Also it will really get you understanding the basics of the norm.

Thank you everyone

Ok ,we did alittle 12 volt charge now put 24 volts to the cell stack . Then 36 volts to the cell ,hell try 48 if you can, only in the clean spring water  do not put any additives in this cell.Let each of these voltages run awhile , look at the bubbles  study them .
What is the difference? Are there voltage limits ? or maybe the real limit is current and not voltage at all ?  We are going to find out about adding some stuff to control current up . you are at bottom right now.

Hi teacher, sorry I've been late to class but.... I'm "on call" this week, and I was working until 12:00am this morning. However when I got home, I prepped half the plates, and glued in the plate holders... just as they setup, I realized they were not lined up... (Note to self, don't do such a thorough job glueing in the future)
I've got ideas to get around my issue... Pictures soon.

@ Ironhead

Have you seen any improvements in efficiency by having uniform very close in size plates? Should I bother sq'ing off the 4 sides? maybe .05 - .08 off each side...

I'm babbling...

don't worry about it at this point in time, as long as they don't touch.
This is not a finished  accurate cell build. This is a learning tool.

If you use GOOP product as I suggested .
Then just take it apart and pull the GOOP
off  it should come off like it was a rubber
band like material.

look at this ratty ol cell stack with Teflon case. The bottom pic is about one second run at 48 volts. This one is caustic .

Also notice the file size on these pics guys ,downsize your pics and compress the jpg or gif
