Here's my 2nd revision of the cell, yes that's an arcylic container I stole from the wife, it's nice & has a silicone seal on top.

After charging the water your cell should hold a charge. My cell held almost 2 volts for 24 hours. of course it drops but it should drop slowly...Thats when you know your cell is ready.
Each space between each plate should also be completely sealed from the rest. Right now all your current and voltage is going through all those holes to the positive plate...You have to make the electrons go from plate to plate. or You will get very poor results.

Back to spring water now.

All did the same thing.  .1-.2AMP draw, water over time turned a little yellow, water looking like clear plastic at a point.

What am I supposed to see?

So I started the process, with spring water... (note to self, you are suffering from CRS... didn't we use spring h20 before and what happened? turned into a waste water sewage plant...) I grew lots of really cool Brown stuff though (ss reaction to the minerals my guess). Didn't really show until I got to the 2nd 1/2 hr @24v. Well, off I go to get me some distilled aqua.

I did not know the plates had to be sealed.  Crap..  That puts me back to square one.  But my other cell kick butt and it is like this one with no neutral plate.

So I need solid plate and the water in the cells do to not touch the water of the other cells?  Where did you see that.  I missed it.

EDIT/FYI:

I have 2.3 volts after I kill power, drops .01volts every couple seconds, until 1.8 then drops slower, about 10 minutes in was at 1.64 volts and I just left.  Will go back in 15-30 and see what I have.  So it is charged..  Just no major gas out. 

EDIT AGAIN:  25+ minutes later, 1.26volts on the cell and long delay to drop to 1.25. 
So I have a cap.  Need to shoot some AC at that thing, not DC.

anyway if ya want you could probably keep going on with your cell but keep in mind your production will be quite low. When you have a chance or find material for the plates change them out and seal the cell.

I'm not sure on where ironhead will go with surface area of ss plates. Obviously with his nst cell surface area really dosen't matter.
Ask ironhead... He will have a better idea.

Anyway is it time for some k0h / NaOH in your cell? Your amps and production will jump up. Don't add too much just a little take readings of current / voltage. If need be re-read ironheads posts.

Ya i know where your at with the car for work thing....I work for a school division and I need my truck to drive from school to school so ya don't really want to muck things up...lol
Better gas mileage won't help if ya can't get to work.

Raptor said ironhead should be back in a few...not sure how long. Patience i guess.

I know what to add to run the amps up and make the gas.  And it is not that nasty stuff.  I plan to feed it in the car I use for work to make my living.  I would not take that chance.  It might eat the metal up even with some gas still running the system.  I am not worried about h2o in the system as that is normal for cars that use petrol.

I will stay with this one for another week or so.  But I cut 1/2 of my good cell up to make this one and it shows nothing close so far.  But it looks like I have a nice cap right now it still hours later has .8 volts (maybe a solar panel and LED).  I hooked the "new" cell back up and very very little gas.

I hope Ironhead will get this thing moving soon.

I will order more plates so I can redo the old unit that works well and keep checking in.. 

And either way, my old unit would not run the mower, it would fire, idle rough for a bit, never made it to run..
