Um  ok  . I never drilled holes in plates and I did not say to . Oh wait  this is your old cell from awhile back right. I remember now you talking about this  yes.
Alittle welding does the trick eh . check for high magnetic attraction around the new welded area .Believe it not it will make a big difference in production . you can anneal the plate to get most of it out if need be.
Remember at startup to do the plate conditioning process to setup fields and do away with the chrome water in a hazmat fashion .

Yes I really think it is photon discharge as well after looking it over and over I will do more test tomorrow and try and mimic this implosion effect.
Everything is healing well so I can get back to my normal pace of construction and study or closer to...
