Where to get help or Support for a project of energy generation.

I'm from M?xico City; and as you can research there is no funding for this type of projects neither from the goverment or from the companies, since we usually adapt from tecnology and products from other countries.
I have been working on a Project about a device capable of generate electricity through a self mechanism, it needs a starter that can be from a battery or a UPS and does not need any other type of fuel or other external agent.
The mechanism which  I have been working is capable of producing about 5 KW at a time, any way, I believe that through a higher grade of research and development, it could be built a bigger one to generate over this KW or even a smaller one that could generate less KW and get a use for a ton of different uses.
For this Project I?m considering the patenting process, any way, the reason that I?m trying to get help is because in Mexico, the regulations and the high grade of corruption makes it very hard for me to acomplish this process. (You could verify this by consulting the amount of pattents generated from this country vs others) I am very interested in contacting in order to find if anyone has or knows any type of help or support related to this type of process, or if any one can recomend any way to get this. Also as finding where I can find people interested in the product itself as well as in the commercialization of it.

Welcome. I saw your other post also.

If your device is a simple system that can quickly be made and replicated, I would strongly urge you to consider the open source route. The simpler, the device, the more it produces, the more dangerous it is to companies and industries.  The more difficult it will be to get it on the market yourself.

On the other hand, if the device involves complicated mechanisms, controls, electronics, etc., it may then be a chance to go patent-industry. But to get anyone of serious nature involved in your project, you have to first have the device performance tested by a third party, otherwise it will be difficult to attract any type of investor. In fact, an investor would not be a serious person if there was no scientific basis to consider, such as a performance report.

But either way, I would urge you to go open source and divulge your device to the world as fast as possible, but with the best information already on hand, such as plans, pictures, video, texts of function and how to build, etc. The more precise your information, the less questions or criticism will be received. And from there, if the device needs fine-tuning or better functions, this board will be able to help in every way, especially in replication of the device to confirm it is what it is.

Yes you can go the patent route and "dream" of the billions, but tell yourself before a corporation pays such money, they will consider other less expensive avenues to control you. If you go open source, it's to late for anyone to do or say anything and you will be forever credited for the creation.

Consider "what does it give you to be the richest man in the cemetery". There is no greater gift then the one we are always striving to give mankind. It takes a very special person and you would not be left hands empty, on the contrary, but you have to believe that mankind comes first before your bank account.

I'd like to encourage you to go open source too; if you are thinking about money, well, fame calls money more than patents. Not to mention that corruption and economic interests exist in every country of this world.
Heck, if I could build a 5 kilowatt generator (more than necessary to power my home) because of your work I'd practically be morally obliged and more than happy to give you a quite hefty donation!
