Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

If one could obtain patents, money or grants for a product that negates the need for fossil fuels, don't you think something would have come to market by now? Open source your projects or your idea will be lost to the winds of time just like all the others that came before you. I assure you, there are no investors here, but many people who would spend their own money to replicate your device and confirm it has a CoP>1.

Good luck and be safe,

I would like to to open source, but how would it be warranty that not others get the benefit. I would like a company to produce it, it is a very simple way to doit, and costed around 700 usd, from buying stuff at stores like Sams or Home Depot. So if a big company can set a production line, it would sure be able to make a good profit. I dont dream in billions, but yes I would like to have some benefit....

Iosh

Of course, you'll get your fast money that way, and no one else will get to see and much less use your invention though.
The same mistake over and over again for years to come.

@rasg

I am very happy to see your are considering the open source route.

Let me give you some other angles to help you in this consideration.

1) If you patent the device, you will have to spend serious money and hope that your claims do not get rebuttled or you will have to pay more. Also, this is based on the fact that you will be able to patent in the first place because there is a possibility that your application may be refused.

2) During this patent process, you will have to wait until everything is in order before you can disclose your device.

3) Then comes the arduous task of finding the right business partner, the right deal, the right money investment, and start to build a company with all these often opposing forces always gnawing at you from all sides.

OPEN SOURCE

1) The day you have made your disclosure to open source is the day you can block in the annals of OU history as your own. If anyone comes in saying they can prove they had this device before you, they would have to do a very good job of documentation to provide this.

2) The same day some here will replicate to confirm the project works as stated. Now if there are any bugs, these can be worked out by the group here. Also improvements that you may not have considered would possibly be quick in comming by people here who have more experience in other fields that may be relative and beneficial.

3) The next day, you can start making the device and selling the device without having to worry about all the tight lipped scenarios one dreads.

4) The same day others can start making the device and selling the device.

5) Those others who are honorable will always hold a portion of the gain for you as the inventor as we all know what it takes to come up with such ideas and put them into practice. I would make it and sell it also in my area.

6) Realize that there will always be some who will simply refuse to conpensate you but they would have done this either patented of not. Just don't worry about these as they will be flashes in the pan.

7) Once open source, you may still get offers to join you in your quest to spead the OU message around the world, and get paid for it.

Rasg, nothing in open source will hurt you, but everything in patenting and corporate doldrums can and most likely will to one extent or another.

So the choice is live free and spread the word while earned a respectful living, or, live in a quasi paranoia while you are trying to make a buck. There is the trade off.
